Christine Acosta, Founder, Principal

Christine Acosta is the founder and principal of Pedal Power Promoters, LLC. She is committed to improving and growing active transportation through safety advocacy and consulting.  She launched Pedal Power Promoters, LLC, a woman-owned social enterprise, in 2014. The firm works with public and private enterprises on a variety of initiatives aimed at improving bicycle-friendliness and expanding micromobility and transit use.  She has created five custom Bicycle Friendly Business℠ programs throughout the region and assisted over 125 businesses and organizations attain the Bicycle Friendly Business℠ designation from the League of American Bicyclists. The firm also conducts outreach and public engagement covering transportation and land use subjects including safety, bicycle facilities, bicycle and scooter storage, car parking, and Transportation Demand Management (TDM). 


Paula Flores, COO

Ms. Flores joined Pedal Power Promoters, LLC as the Chief Operating Officer in 2024. With 39 years of transportation planning experience, she advances client development and oversees administration and financial operations. Her expertise includes pedestrian and bicycle facilities, transportation safety, parking operations, travel demand management, and community engagement. Flores is a respected industry leader and ITE Fellow who served as the 2016 International President of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, focusing on safety and Vision Zero initiatives. She is also the founder of Fancy Women Bike Ride - Tampa, a Walk Bike Tampa board member, and Chairperson of the annual World Car Free Day event in Tampa.
